Designed to help you bring along your young horses on the ground to prepare them for their future under saddle, or to simply learn about groundwork techniques!
This clinic package (2 dates) offers a wide range of instruction, exercises and drills to do with your horse to prepare them for under saddle work, and to create a better connection with your horse. Body control, softness, confidence and willingness are also topics we will touch on in this clinic series.
Day 1 focuses mostly on body control exercises and drills, and we will touch in introducing obstacles into the program as well. Take this knowledge home with you and practice to prepare for Day 2.
Day 2 puts all of that together, as well as introduces a few new exercises and puts it all to practical use while we introduce obstacles and different scenarios to the horses.
Lunch will be provided both days! Please inform us of any food allergies!
We will be limiting this clinic series to 6 participants per series (June or August dates). Open to horses of all ages and skill levels (must be halter broke), and open to handlers of all skill levels. This is an outdoor event, so please plan accordingly.
Tuition - $250 + GST
Includes lunch both days, and the clinic Groundwork A and Groundwork B package on your chosen date options above. Non refundable deposit of $75 to hold your spot, remaining to be paid prior to the clinic.
Equipment requirements - we ask that each participant bring along a well fitted halter, nylon or rope and a 14 foot lead rope. If you do not have these items, please let us know, we also make these items for purchase and can have some available at the clinic so long as you pre-order!

Introduction to Obstacles

Join us at Wolf Hollow Ranch for our Obstacle series. Clinic taught by Dreamscape Horsemanship!
Our Introduction to Obstacles clinic is perfect for a horse/rider team that may have never seen obstacles before, but want to try something new. This clinic be geared more towards an introduction to obstacles for those that have never been exposed to them but want to give them a try. Youngsters welcome in hand! If you are interested in something a tad more advanced, check out our July 16/17 Obstacle Clinic with Melissa Glowinski (EXCA World competitor and Calgary Stampede Cowboy Up Competitor).
Lunch is included. Please inform us of any food allergies upon sign up! Deposit required to hold your spot, remaining payment due prior to clinic start. We will end the day with a fun little course to complete.

Safety tips
How to introduce/desensitize your horse to new things
Groundwork exercises with obstacles
Obstacle work under saddle

Intro to Mounted Medieval Skills at Arms with Smith's Mounted Medieval Clinics

Join us at Wolf Hollow Ranch for a clinic taught by clinicians Lori and Brad Smith as they introduce the participants to the basic skills required for Mounted Medieval Skills at Arms where riders get to handle swords, long spears, short spears and lances (practice weapons, foam swords) and learn the "tasks" that would have been taught to medieval knights learning their weaponry skills. Participants must be comfortable at a walk/trot, one handed at minimum. Lunch is included. Outdoor event, prepare accordingly.

Tuition - $200/day, lunch and gst included. Non refundable deposit of $75 to hold your spot.

"Create your Own Clinic" with Melissa Glowinski

2025 - Sept 7 9am to 5pm. 1 hour break at noon for lunch.

Join us at Wolf Hollow Ranch for a clinic taught EXCA multi time World Champion Melissa Glowinski (Mule Melissa) in this "create your own clinic" event. Each participant gets a 1 hour session one on one with Melissa, to work on WHATEVER you want to work on, whether it be general horsemanship, or obstacles. As the date for this clinic gets closer, a non refundable deposit will book your session time. Please let us know whether it is horsemanship or obstacle topic, and if there is a specific obstacle you wish to work on, please let us know a head of time so we can have it set up to save on time between sessions. This is an outdoor event so plan accordingly. Bring your own chair!

There are 6 time slots left available. $100/session, includes gst, haul in and clinician fee, as well as includes auditing of the rest of the sessions if desired. If you JUST wish to AUDIT, it is $20 paid directly to the clinician, just let us know you are coming so we can plan parking accordingly. Lunch is NOT provided for this clinic, so if you wish to stay and audit the rest of the sessions, bring your own lunch, it will be a 1 hour break mid day (around noon). Multiple sessions are allowed on a first come, first serve basis if you wish to bring multiple horses. Additional dates may be added if there is enough interest.
