Wolf Hollow Ranch is 80 acres centrally located about 20 minutes south of Sylvan Lake, 20 minutes northwest of Innisfail and only 30 minutes from Red Deer.

 

Currently, Wolf Hollow offers a private, quiet setting with outdoor separate gender (mares with mares, geldings with geldings) group pasture board.

Our features include:

• 100x200 outdoor arena surrounded by mature trees on three sides that provides excellent windbreak.

• 60foot outdoor round pen with 8 foot walls

• Heated auto water

• Quality grass hay from our own field, fed free choice in slow feed nets

• Outdoor wash bay (seasonal use only)

• Wide range of obstacles

• Some cut trails through the yard

• Large run in shelter

• Windbreak walls

• Access to 70 acres of fields to ride in during fall/winter/spring (no riding permitted once hay field gets to a certain height unless following fence line to trails in the bush)

• Trails slowly being added in the willow patches and in the 2 acres of bush

• 2 large group pastures put in during summer 2021 for grazing rotation

• 2 roomy private pens with 8ft stud alleys put in June 2022. Reserved for training clients currently. 

 

Boarders will have access to tack storage. Any additional feed must be provided by the horse's owner but a feed program can be discussed. Horses in training with DSH receive a personalized feed program which is included in the cost of the training and board package.

Farrier and vet at client's expense. Boarders $15/horse "holding fee" if required. ALL horses coming to the facility must be up to date on deworming, Strangles and 5way vaccine (must include Equine Influenza). Boarders/ training clients will be asked to provide proof.

Facility owners live on site, and DSH's trainer works on site, which provides 24/7 care to your horse.

Wolf Hollow Ranch also has a substantial expansion plan to build on to the existing facility. Our expansion plan includes an indoor arena and attached barn, more wood rail fencing to expand pasture space and provide individual pens. Our obstacle collection is always growing and we also plan to have a large scale outdoor obstacle course (platforms, ditches, hills) and Mounted Archery courses in the future as well. Trails will be cut into the acre of bush in the future. It will truly be a facility for anyone regardless of discipline!

The barn is planned to undergo renovations to make it usable, for now, we have renovated the tack sheds to provide storage for our clients.
