This beautiful girl was purchased in foal (dam of WH Midnight Traveler) in 2017. Dawn is the mother hen of our herd and the top mare. She was an excellent first time mother and raised a lovely stud colt. She foaled easily and is the kind of mother that does not put up with misbehaving children and Thunder continues to show those benefits. Though we haven't done much with Dawn besides basic handling and groundwork, we do have plans to put her through the same program as the other horses in 2019.

We strongly believe that the horses in our breeding program have to earn the right to be there. Dawn has already shown her capabilities as a broodmare but it has been proven that mares with more than just basic handling tend to produce better offspring. Once Dawn has more training, she will continue to be a part of our APHA performance breeding program and we have hopes to cross her with a son of Lazy Loper in the future. Dawn was started under saddle lightly in summer 2019 at the same time as Thunder and over the course of a couple years, had about 6 months worth of general riding time in total. She sat for a bit before attending her first show, Canadian Pinto Nationals 2024 and will continue under saddle for a future show career, as well as an at home, working horse, as we plan to use her as our main pony horse for youngsters, and of course, she is Perry's horse, so Perry rides her around now and then too and hopes to grow his skills so that he can show, and participate in some of our other events as well.
