Maise attended her first show, with an unfamiliar to her handler (first time anyone other than Perry or Sam has handled her) in June 2023 at the Alberta Pinto Spring Show. Results below.

Maise is a wonderful 2019 filly with a sweet disposition. She is handling the tasks in the training quite well so far. To date, she has completed the DSH Young Horse Development Program - Groundwork, has done a ton of obstacles in hand, and has begun under saddle. She currently can ride in the larger arena, walk/trot, steering, stop, back up and has done a small amount of loping. She stands great to mount, yields her hip and has soft lateral flexion. Our plans with her have shifted a bit and she is now on the docket to be one of our longer term development projects with an emphasis towards Extreme Cowboy Racing. Her calm and willing nature has even allowed Perry to ride her a handful of times so far. She will be further developed under saddle while we wait for her disease panel to be completed and then we will decide from there whether we will remain part of our herd as a broodmare prospect or be a sale prospect.

With her movement, she would make a nice all around horse with more training, ranch riding or even Cowboy Challenge since she doesn't mind the obstacles. Her pedigree has a nice combination of cow and all around bloodlines. She is willing to participate. She is used to being rinsed down, groomed and mane/tail put up. Has only had her bridle path trimmed with scissors so far.
